 100 Watt Daylight LED
Our first in a series of revolutionary lighting products for digital imaging.
 This light source is designed specifically to provide the safest possible light for digitizing rare, light-sensitive original artworks. Our patent pending design is the first LED light source that delivers constant, high quality (CRI 90) 5000K daylight as well as the ability to synchronize with digital camera shutters.
High quality daylight color balance combined with high power output allow this light to be used as an object conservation task light as well as a photgraphic light source.
Equally effective for scan technology cameras, DSLRs, single or multi shot studio cameras, this light source has been designed to provide the most evenly distributed pool of light. It is especially well suited for lighting two-dimensional objects and in copy stand installations.
Compared to existing Electronic Flash, HMI, HID, High Frequency Fluorescent, and Daylight Filtered Tungsten light sources, the LED light source emits dramatically reduced UV and iR levels relative to visible light emitted. When used in conjunction with a color-managed workflow following ISO imaging guidelines, it is possible to utilize the same 5000K light for both capture and viewing. The light quality rivals traditional daylight viewing booths.
Unlike traditional, expensive electronic flash systems where there is no control over the flash duration, our solution offers XFS™(Extended Flash Sync) capabilities; essentially allowing your camera's shutter to determine the flash duration. It is possbile to capture an image using a one second camera shutter speed, or a traditional flash sync speed of 1/60th sec or higher (up to 1/1000th sec).
This is the first in a series of CDI designed products that will finally allow digital photographers to define their creativity using light, not expensive and time consuming post-production.
