CDI presented at the 37th annual MCN Conference
November 11-14, 2009 in Portland, OR, with the Van Gogh Museum
Scott Geffert presented together with Marianne Peereboom,Project Manager for the museum-wide digital initiaitive at the Van Gogh Museum in Ansterdam. This project offers a glimpse into the future of standards-based digital capture coordinated with the entire museum infrastructure to meet the challenges of today's connected world. This was the first public presentation of the museum's unique approach to combining the best of technical conservation techniques and standards-based publications photography into one efficient process.

A focus on standards
The consolidation in the digtial imaging industry has had a direct and negative impact on the cultural heritage community in terms of maintaining quality against a constant tide of change.
Governments in Europe have already started to enforce strict guidelines to insure that digitization initiatives are successful. CDI has been at the forefront in bringing these guidelines to the United States and working with experts worldwide to improve the state of the art.

CDI invited to China
for a third time
CDI was invited for a third visit to China along with
the Metropolitan Museum of Art to discuss digital imaging
technology and workflow in a conference in Beijing
for the China Cultural Relics Academy Photographic Committee,
November 13th to 18th 2008. This conference was held
to help museums across China better implement new technology.
